Kathmandu launches global brand campaign

Kathmandu’s new global campaign, ‘Come Find Us. We’re Out There.’ is a bold return to where it all began – in the wild, among the elements, with nature as the hero.
The evergreen campaign, launched in September 2024, is more than a call to adventure. It’s an invitation to reconnect with nature.
Shot entirely on Aotea Great Barrier Island, and created in partnership with local communities, the campaign leans into Kathmandu’s New Zealand roots – showcasing wild places, resilient people and the thrill of being truly ‘out there’.

Honouring our roots, reaching the world
“Come Find Us. We’re Out There. sets a new tone for our brand, leaning into what made us fall in love with the outdoors over 30 years ago,” says Jo O’Sullivan, Kathmandu’s General Manager of Marketing.
“It’s the peace, connection and meaning we discover while out there, and this campaign invites our community to join us in experiencing that together.”
The campaign marks the first collaboration between Kathmandu and creative agency Motion Sickness and was crafted with a team of Aotearoa-based designers, musicians, voiceover artists and producers.
“This is a significant moment in Kathmandu’s brand history, and one we are proud to share,” O’Sullivan adds.

Aotearoa at heart, adventure in hand
“Aotearoa, and all it represents, is the essence of Kathmandu’s story. New Zealand’s wilderness continues to inspire us not only to get out there more often, but also to create thoughtfully designed, sustainably made gear to help our community do the same.”
This is a new chapter for an iconic brand – and it’s just the beginning. Kathmandu is poised to bring this creative direction to life in exciting new ways in the years ahead.
