Rip Curl backs Australian Indigenous Surfing Titles

Rip Curl is continuing its support of the Australian Indigenous Surfing Titles, extending its partnership with Surfing Victoria for a further three years.

Held each May at Djarrak / Bells Beach on the traditional lands of the Wadawurrung people, the event is entering its 13th year and has become one of the most significant events on the Australian surfing calendar. The 2026 titles will take place from 29–31 May, bringing together more than 80 Indigenous Australian and Torres Strait Island surfers from across the country.

The partnership reflects Rip Curl’s ongoing commitment to reconciliation and strengthening relationships with the Indigenous surfing community, aligned with the brand’s Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan. Rip Curl also supports a number of Indigenous surfers who will compete at the iconic Bells Beach break.

More than a competition, the Australian Indigenous Surfing Titles are a celebration of community, culture and connection, bringing surfers and families together from across Australia. The event provides a platform for Indigenous surfers to compete at one of the country’s most renowned waves while celebrating the growing strength and diversity of Indigenous surfing.

The 2026 event will feature a strong field of past champions and competitors, including Otis Carey, Russel Molony, Lehaini Zoric, Summer Simon and Landen Smales, alongside former Masters champion Robbie Page.
